About Monica
Monica has been immersed in the energy-healing field since 1995. She has studied Healing Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Reflexology, Myofascial Release Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Counseling. Her most recent education path was a three-year program at Vancouver’s Langara College in Integrative Energy Healing. This 700-hour program covered topics of Energy Based Healing Techniques past and present. History and Research, Anatomy and Physiology, Dialogue Techniques, 300+ hours of Practicum, Case Study Work. Monica has also followed this up with Advanced Practice work and a two-year Apprenticeship program further in Integrative Energy Healing.
Monica has done Integrative Energy Healing (IEH) in clinics at: Vancouver General Hospital, Pacifica, Pacific Spirit Community Health Center, South Vancouver Community Health Center, Raven Song Community Health Center, Domestic Violence at VGH.
Monica currently volunteers with the Central City Lodge Addiction Recovery Program and continues her affiliation with the program as she supervises current students in the IEH program while they work on their practicum.
Monica has been a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (formerly Alternative Massage Therapist and Wholistic Practitioner) since 2005.
